President’s Newsletter for May
I’d like to welcome new graduates of Newcomers who have joined our Alumni Group. Please peruse the “Interests” page and sign up for those that take your fancy.
We have two Men’s Breakfast events. The traditional last Friday breakfast at 8:00am (for Alumni members only) will continue as usual. But in addition, there will be another breakfast on the third Tuesday of the Month at 9:00am to be held jointly with the Newcomers Club. Alumni members are free to sign up for one or both of these events (although there is a limit of 10 members from each club for the joint event). Registration for both events is now open.
We are still working on establishing a new biking group to be held with the Newcomers group. Details to be announced as they are worked out.
SAVE THE DATE: The annual picnic will be held on June 14th this year. The venue will be the same as last year (Fossil Creek Lakeside Pavilion). Menu will probably be BBQ from Brothers BBQ. Thanks again to Erie Lapidus and Susan Leopold for coordinating this event. More details coming later.
This is a reminder that the formerly popular GATHERINGS Interest Group has been re-established. Please sign up for this group on the Interests page if you would like to attend, and please contact the coordinator, Frances Hutto (fv.hutto@att.net), if you are willing to host a gathering at your home. Next event will be on May 9.
And lastly, here is the usual reminder that Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every other month and that all members are welcome to attend as observers. The next meeting is at 1:30pm on May 6 in the conference room at FNBO, 155 Boardwalk Drive.
